Our Spring season
Our Autumn/Winter season has been fantastic with most weeks fully booked with groups and lots of returners enjoying some of the new trails we have found.
We are now in Easter and Spring, the days are warming up and the wild flowers are appearing. A lovely time to enjoy the Spanish trails.
More accurate information on our routes using Garmin
We are tracking our routes using a Garmin 800 and putting all the routes on our website (click on routes) and are in the process of tracking all our routes.
All our routes will have maps, altitude charts and all the relevent statistics and photos to give you more information on our riding.
Downhill Holidays
We have decided to offer "Shuttle Bus" holidays for downhill only bikers. We have at least a weeks worth of stunning downhill tracks which we can have you doing all day with uplift using our buses.
Same price as our normal XC holidays but with a small supplement. A lot cheaper than our opposition and highly recommended by our downhill groups who came out last year
See our Downhill web-page for more info.
Family Holidays
This season we have had an increase in the number of families choosing us for their biking holiday.
They have all been pleasantly surprised on the quality and variety of our easier trails and have all left excellent reviews on our guestbook.
Please see our web-page on family holidays for more information.
Hire bikes
This year we have upgraded our fleet of bikes to the tough All-mountain classics from Mondraker.
These are well suited to our singletrack trails.
Also we still have some Giant Trances - MTR magazine bike of the year
Fantastic new routes for 2013
We have been working hard this Winter and have found some fantastic new trails. More emphasis on sweet singletrack riding. More uplifts so you get more of what you want.
We have decided to join the rest of the world and have now set up a Facebook page To access and join us as a friend (fan?) click the Facebook button on the Home Page. We will be uploading videos, pictures and comments each week and welcome your pictures and comments.
Google Earth
Google Earth
Just type “Sierra Cycling” into Google Earth & you will obtain a map/satellite picture of where we are based. We are also uploading the locations of our superb routes currently.
Long Weekends
We are just 20 minutes from the airport. Arrive Friday morning before midday and leave Monday evening, meaning 4 full day sunny guided rides for just 225 Euros per person. Includes free bar and snacks all weekend. Cheaper than a wet weekend in Wales.
We´ll have you out on a ride just an hour after we collect you from the airport.
Mid Week Arrivals
Even better deals can be had during the week. We can accommodate any day, any time arrivals so you can save on the fare.
If you can arrive into Malaga before noon we will have you out on an afternoon ride after a 15-minute transfer to our houses. We think that’s better than having to hang around in the airport on a busy Saturday waiting for a 3-hour transfer.
Summer Holidays
If you would like to rent a beach house for a normal summer beach holiday see our www.holidayrentalspain.com.
Peak Periods
April, May, June then September and October tend to fill up quickest. So groups if you would like to come in these months please book up early.
In other months there is more chance of late bookings and long weekends.
Flights
Easyjet and lots of other cheap flight companies are now offering some incredibly low fares down here to Malaga. Why not take advantage of them for some super biking in the sun?
(See our links section for details).
If you bring your own bike put it in a box or bag, Easyjet are refusing unwrapped bikes. Also paying for a bike costs around £35 and increases your luggage allowance from 20kg, to only 32kg so be careful with what else you pack!
Softies Week
For those bikers interested in seeing our fantastic mountains and valleys without too much effort we have designed a week of excursions with the emphasis on flattish rides and those with a downhill bias.
This will include a two-day trip in the white villages in the Ronda Mountains - 75km, with not a single hill to climb. Our route follows a disused railway track with 30 tunnels and 5 viaducts through a river valley and past a vulture sanctuary plus fabulous views along the way.
We will spend the night in a nice hotel and sample some typical Spanish mountain food in the evening. The return trip will include a stop in Ronda to look round. There will be a 30 Euro surcharge to cover hotel.
